Summer Time With Tons Of Fun!

School has been over for a while, and now there's only about a month left! It's kinda scary. Anyway, I was looking at some old school stuff and came across this blog again. I think I should keep going with it. It'll give me something to do every once in a while. It might even be really fun! Anyway, I haven't posted anything for a while, so here's what has been happening:

Right after school ended, I volunteered at a VBS (Vacation Bible School) Camp at my church. It lasted a week, and was really fun! I was a crew leader of six 3rd and 4th graders! I loved it, and even got to see some friends at the camp who were volunteering as well. After that, I relaxed for a week, and the next weekend I volunteered at a different VBS Camp. This was for a different church, and my first time with the program, but it was really fun as well! This time I was with 5th and 6th graders! A few days later I went to see Jurassic World with a few friends, and that was really fun. Now I've seen the first and fourth Jurassic movies! I should probably watch the others, but that's okay. I didn't really do anything for the rest of June, and mostly relaxed or talked to some friends on my phone. On the 29th, I went rafting with Tali Kottler, and we had a great time.
Weekend VBS & My Group
July came by, and I was shocked. I mean, and month of summer has already past! It's scary! Only about a month and a half left before school again! Anyway, I went to YMCA Camp Rodger from the 5th to the 10th. That was really fun. There was horseback riding, archery, crafts, grenade, a dance, and the food was good too! A lot of people from Park City (like me) were in my cabin, and I made a lot of new friends. After that, I immediately flew to St. George, Utah, to have a vacation with my family. We mostly hung around the house, played cards, and once we went on a hike. Finally coming back, the day after there was a costume party at the library for teens! It was great, and a couple of my friends were there too. The costume party was just a few days ago, so I guess that brings us up to date.

For this blog, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it. I might do more Anime, Doctor Who, TV Show things, but I also just might do what has been going on. I hope that's okay with everyone, and feel free to say anything in the comments!

The Last Note

I guess this is it guys, my final post for probably forever. I first thought I might continue this blog, but my English teacher assigned a reflection for the year, and it seemed like a good place to stop writing. I hope my few readers don't mind. (And if you do, please comment, and I will consider to write more over the summer and next year.)

This entire year has been great. There were good times, and there were not so good times during this entire school year. However, I wouldn’t change a thing that had happened. There were many great memories that I will hold on to forever. You can learn from everything that has happened in your life.

This year, I took a couple of challenging classes, fun classes, and even joined a few clubs. I had a hard time in both AP Geography and Honors Biology, but I got through okay. My Robotics and Automation class was great and really fun to learn how to build and program a robot. Also, I joined the National Junior Honors Society, Robotics Club (which even got in the paper), and the Symphony Club. It seems like I had a busy life, but that's what made it interesting!

Anyway I have loved writing this blog, hopefully as much as you loved reading it. I first started writing in September with Doctor Who and talking about the episodes that came out. My english teacher told our class to just write posts, but we would have a vote on the best blog at the end of the year. So you should be able to grab someone’s attention right?

Yeah, at least according to this, I failed…

After Doctor Who episodes, I moved on to other Doctor Who themed posts. After that, I sometimes wrote about a few other things, including anime, finally settling on TV shows or episodes of something that I have watched recently. I mostly changed what I wrote about because I was running out of ideas! I mean, I was talking about the Doctor Who episodes, then I went on the companions, seasons, and even tried to make it creative. However, it really was just dragging on. So I changed it up and did anime and other TV shows.

I have changed a lot this year, but I guess that's part of growing up. For the first couple of months that I posted blogs this year, it was almost like the posts were reviews of the Doctor Who episodes that had just come out. However, in the middle of November when the last couple of episodes came out, it seemed like I developed more of a voice in my blog. I hope you saw it too.

Anyway, even after Doctor Who was over, it seemed like I did more posts that showed a little bit more of my personality. I more posts on things that struck my interest, and not just on British TV show that I have been watching my entire life with my family. I have grown writing this blog, and it has been a really good experience for me. I hope anyone who has been reading this likes what I've done with it as much as I do.

Again, if you want me to continue to write on this blog, please place a comment and it will be considered.

Once Upon A Party!!!

Once Upon A Time is a great TV show that has just finished its 4th season. This whole show is about the Once Upon A Time characters that everyone has heard about. Prince Charming and Snow White, The Evil Queen, Rumpelstiltskin, Belle from Beauty and The Beast, Pinocchio, The Seven Dwarves, there really are a lot of characters in this show.

However, the show revolves around the Savior, or Charming's and Snow's daughter. All throughout the four seasons, Emma, their daughter, saves the town which trapped all of the characters countless of times. This show doesn't fail to surprise me at times. Emma is able to defeat a dragon, break a curse, restore memories, wield magic, stop an ice queen, and so much more. This show is great, but at times a little overwhelming. (My friend Jenny has gotten a little over obsessed with Captain Swan... Captain Swan is a ship name if you did not know.)

Anyway, today I watched the season four finale with a bunch of my friends. Including Natalie, Jenny, Hali, and Tali. It was really fun. Everyone arrived at Jenny's house around 3pm, and we started watching previous episodes that we thought would be fun to watch again. We started with the first season's finale, getting into the spirit of having season four's finale. After that, we watched season three's finale. Both parts of it in fact. Then we watched season four, episode four, where Captain Hook and Emma go out on a date.

While watching all of these episodes, everyone had a great time. We were all laughing about the show and enjoying the great moments that we were watching again. However Natalie and Hali hadn't seen the show, so we were also explaining small details to them as we went along. Eventually, it came up that everyone was going to be a character from the show.

and I am (evidently) The Evil Queen.

The names were the center of many jokes that night, finally deciding to call each other by those names for at least the next day. It was really fun.

After eating dinner for a few minutes, it was finally 7pm, and we switched to the channel that Once Upon A Time was going to be on. The entire two hour season finale was amazing.

HINT : Spoiler ALERT

The episode started off with the author finishing his new book, and a world where the bad guys are the good guys and the good guys are the bad guys. Some people, like Belle, stayed neutral and with the guy that they loved. However, many lives were drastically changed. The roles of Snow White and The Evil Queen shifted completely, and the Savior was locked in a tower while she wasn't even grown up in the original story.

Anyway, the episode ends with Henry the Savior's son saving the Savior, and Regina, the evil queen, saving Henry. Henry becomes the new author, and has the power to change the story. He decides to revert everything back to the way it was before. It was really touching. However, once they get back to the town that they resided, the Dark One is gone from Rumpelstiltskin, and the Savior is forced to become the next Dark One.

This episode was really great, and I can't wait for fall when the next season comes out. I hope anyone reading this post liked it too!

Fruits Basket

Fruits Basket is amazing. Nothing I have seen so far can top it.

Okay, so I'm going to try to explain Fruits Basket in around 400 words.... This is not going to go well. Anyway, don't blame me if I spoil the entire series. It's your job to look at the title of this blog and know that basically every post will have a spoiler of some sort.

Actually to save you from too many spoilers (because I'm just that nice), I'm going to cut this post in half. The first half will be a very basic description, and the second half will be more detail. Everyone okay with this? Yeah?.... I'm talking to myself again...

Fruits Basket is an anime about a very innocent teenage girl. This girl just lost her mother to a car accident and tried to live with her grandpa. However he needed to do renovations, so she lived in a tent for a few weeks before being taken in by a family of three guys. However, these guys are more than they seem and are not normal. It's this girl's decision to accept who and what these guys are, or to run away and forget all that she knows. Her decision and what she does will take your breath away.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fruits Basket is an anime that's really good. It starts out with a girl who lives in a tent because her mother had just died in a car crash, and her father died when she was really young. This girl goes to a middle school (or is it high school, shoot! I don't remember!), and on her way to school one day she happens across a house near where she was camping out. She was camping out because of her grandpa's renovations to the house. The house she wanders by is owned by a really rich family and the most popular guy in school lives there. At the end of the first episode she is taken in by these three guys and lives in the house with them.
This anime is all about her living with these few guys. She figures out how this family is different from everyone else early on, but she also needs to accept who they are. This family is sort of placed under a curse. In their family, there are always people that represent each of the different animals of the zodiac. These animals are the rat, dog, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon (seahorse), snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, pig, and the irregularity/outsider the cat. When hugged by someone from the opposite gender, or is under stress, the person transforms into the animal that they represent.
This anime is all about the girl and how she, with her open and caring heart, brings this family back together while having a ton of different adventures and getting to know all of them. The manga goes farther into the main character's story, and I would recommend reading it as well.
Anyway I hope you enjoyed which ever description that you read, or both, and please comment on whether or not you also like or will watch this anime! Prove me wrong that I'm not still talking to myself!
*Also, both links are websites that I used to watch and read this anime on my family's computer. So to anyone from school that might be reading, they probably won't work on the school laptops.*
Sleep Over, Where's The Sleep?
Hey, I'm back. So, for school we just had our one week long spring break that lasted from April 4-12. It was pretty fun.
The first weekend was Easter, I went shopping Monday, Aviary Tuesday, Drivers Permit Wednesday, and what I want to talk about, a great sleepover Thursday and Friday.
One of my friends hadn’t seen High School Musical yet, so a few of my friends including myself decided to hang out for a day over the break and watch it. It turned out to be pretty fun! So on Thursday, I went over to my friend Emma’s house (the one who hadn’t seen the movie) and we watched it with Jayda, another one of my friends.
All during the first movie, Jayda was singing along to the songs and we were all having a great time. We started the second movie of High School Musical after the first one ended, and it went like the first where we sang along to some of the songs and had a lot of fun. However, Jayda had to leave after we were about 3/4ths of the way through.
After Jayda left, Emma and I finished watching the second High School Musical movie. Then, since it was late, we had dinner. After that, we were debating on what to watch because I was staying over for the night. Finally, we decided on The Last Airbender. The Last Airbender was turned into a movie, but it was originally just an animation. Emma had the animation, and I hadn’t seen it, so that is what we watched. We watched these shows for around two hours. I don’t remember exactly how long we watched it.
Eventually, Emma got sick of watching these shows for the 20 millionth time in her life, so we decided to watch something else. After about 5 minutes, we agreed to watch a anime called Hetalia. Hetalia is an anime where each character is a country during World War II. Each country is hilarious with their own quirks. Anyway, we watched part of Season 3 for around 20 minutes.
Both of us not really paying much attention to the anime anymore, we decided to watch something else (again). This time, we decided on Ouran High School Host Club which is another anime. We started this anime at like 9pm, and ended it at around 11am. We stayed up the entire night watching this anime. It was really fun, but I totally regretted it Friday the day after when I fell asleep on the couch after being up for 33 hours.
Image Courtesy By: Masutori
When we first started to watch Ouran, Emma was worried that I would fall asleep, and wanted me to go to bed while she stayed up. After a while, it was Emma wanting to go to bed and me wanting to stay up and finish the anime. I mean, we started the anime, and after a while, it seemed possible to watch the entire thing before I had to go back home. Which is exactly what we did. We finished an entire anime during the sleepover.
Overall, this sleepover was really fun, but it wasn’t really a sleepover. It was more of a stay over for the night, but sleep is nonexistent. Comment about your own sleepovers (or stay overs) and how long you have stayed up.
Yeah... What next?
Yeah, so I'm mostly writing this blog for English, and I've run out of good ideas for Doctor Who. This has been really fun, but I kinda need more things to talk about. SO….. Since I have been stretching these posts out like A LOT, I'm gonna change it up a little, and make my blog more of just my interests.
Yeah? Any response, complaints?...... No.... Talking to myself again except for the rare friend wandering on this blog? Ok... That great!?!???
Alright, well since I’ve already done a post on an Anime that I watched with a friend, I thought I would do more posts on anime as well. That way, this blog could be more of an anime and doctor thoughts and reviews blog.
To get us started, I thought I would talk about how I started watching anime and / or Doctor Who.
For anime, I started in my 8th grade year. So, about a year ago from this post. My sister had already started watching anime, and was watching one with a friend one day when I sat down and watched an episode with them. To be honest, I thought that they were both insane at first. I mean, cartoons? Really? We are practically adults, we don’t watch cartoons anymore. However, it wasn’t just the fact that they were cartoons. It was also the content. I was pretty confused. But after that, my sister showed me another anime that she had loved for me to watch. This anime was Fruits Basket.
Fruits Basket is a very sweet anime that I would recommend as a first anime to watch to almost everyone. It is a great start to watching anime, and it teaches a few moral lessons while being hilarious to watch. The story is a little weird, but if you’re open minded, then you’ll really love this anime. I know that I loved this anime, and the only reason that I watch anime is because of 1: spare time and 2: to find an anime that could compare to Fruits Basket.
I have not succeeded in finding an anime that I love as much as Fruits Basket.
After that, my sister gave me a list of all of the anime that she had watched and is watching in the order that she watched them. Then, I started to watch a lot of those different anime as well. Even now, I am still trying to catch up with all of the anime that my sister has seen. I’m pretty close because she doesn’t have much time anymore to watch, but she did have a few years of a head start.
For Doctor Who, I don’t even know when I started watching it. This show has been on since my parents were kids, but took a pretty big break before the Doctors that are well known in this generation. I have always loved Doctor Who, but since I started watching at such a young age, I didn't really remember the earlier episodes with the ninth doctor.
So, I think I have been watching Doctor Who my entire life. Which makes since because my parents are huge sci-fi geeks (mostly my dad, my mom got introduced to Doctor Who when she married my dad) and love Doctor Who. However, I watched Doctor Who from the ninth doctor to the eleventh doctor again last year to refresh my memory.
Anyway, that is kinda when I started watching both anime and Doctor Who. My next post will probably be something on anime. If anyone reading this has objections, I’ll be glad to hear them! Just leave anything you want to say in the comments below!
Thanks for reading!
Scared? Me Too...
Hey guys! Finally done with the raps! Well... I think so anyway... Actually I REALLY hope so... Those were torture! So, I'm doing a post on something that a friend (Tali Kottler) inspired me to do a while ago, but haven't gotten to (mostly because of the raps). A post on all of the things in Doctor Who that I find the scariest (by the way, I couldn't think of 10, so I got some of these from some friends. This follower, this follower, and the friend above). Well, here we go!
10. Cybermen
  • Cybermen were the first bad guys in Doctor Who, which is understandable. They are half human and half machine made steal men that like to DELETE or UPGRADE human beings. Kinda scary to have walking around your neighborhood trying to take your brain and turn you into something like them.
Image Courtesy By: TARDIS Wikia
9. Peg Dolls
  • The peg dolls are the nightmare inside of the little boy's closet. Anyone remember this? It was with Smith as The Doctor traveling with Amy and Rory Pond. The little boy had to overcome his fear to stop these dolls from attacking! I mean, their lives depended on a little boy from having glass dolls kill them!
8. Water On Mars
  • The Doctor lands on Mars, and finds a human complex. They extract their water from underground on Mars, and use it for a drink and to grow their food. However, this water is contaminated by an alien, and once consumed the water changes the person. This doesn't seem very scary, but when you watch the episode, trust me. Very creepy. It deserves to be eighth.
7. The Rooms in "The God Complex"
  • In the God Complex, Amy, Rory, and The Doctor all go to a hotel. In this hotel, there are rooms for every person with their worst nightmare hidden inside. These rooms are really scary to see for each person. However, you never see The Doctor's room. He finds it, but we never see it. However it can be inferred that the person in his room is the war doctor from the Time War.
6. The Empty Child
  • The Empty Child, if no one remembers, is the little boy during WWII that was fused to a gas mask and kept searching for his mommy. This episode made me scared of gas masks, and the phrase 'Where's my mommy?' for life.
5. Silence
  • The Silence are the mouthless...
    Wait, sorry, can anyone tell me what I was saying? Oh yeah! The Silence, anyway they are human like creatures......
    What was I talking about again? Ummmm........ Give me a minute please................ THE SILENCE! I remember! Anyway, they are creatures that you can only remember while looking........................
    I'm sorry who are you?
4. Midnight Entity
  • The Midnight Entity is the copy cat. She mimicked whatever anyone said, finally settling on The Doctor's words. This one is really scary because once it starts copying you, the alien begins to have control over your body and mind.
3. Weeping Angels
  • If you don't know a weeping angel by now, shame. Just shame.
  • A weeping angel is a statue that can only move when you aren't looking. The phrases "Don't Blink..." and "Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey Stuff" and a few others come from these aliens. The weeping angels once beat The Doctor and are the end for Amy and Rory Pond.
Image Courtesy By: imgfave
A TOTALLY accurate representation.
2. Vashta Nerada
  • Creatures in shadows. In a library. That eat you alive and turn you into skeletons. If you are not freaked out yet. GO AWAY. I don't care if I should want more readers on this blog.
  • I am now scared of two shadows, and every time I see two, I freak. So if you aren't scared by this, then seriously, GO AWAY. Bye!
1. A doll sized weeping angel, wearing a gas mask, with two shadows, and you forget it once you have seen it
  • Yeah. I know that this doesn't exist, but a friend of mine made it up, and I find it the scariest and creepiest by far. It's a combination of a bunch of the creepiest and scariest aliens in Doctor Who, and would probably be the most formidable.
Failing At Rapping AGAIN (Series 7-8)
Why am I still rapping, well…I really have no clue…It’s just torture for me to write these.
ANYWAY, here's my final rap! I am so glad to have these done! But....If you guys (aka my nonexistent readers) want me to write more, I MIGHT. BIG might. Probably not, but you can always ask!
Into it's home they go
It's not very plain
Why they are there you know
They will have to steal
Would you like a quiz
You have to listen
For trouble is near
Tears may glisten
This episode is very queer
The phone then rings
And they both have to rob
A bank suited for Kings
Just who gave them the job
The Doctor goes undercover
Clara is befuddled
It seems like he will hover
Danny is very muddled
He is soon slain
Coming back to real time
But then a forest
Comes into play
A girl needs to be found
Trees talk to her in the fray
The courage to tell Danny
But Missy comes along
His death is uncanny
Clara needs to be strong
I feel like these raps totally failed! I mean, I tried to describe each episode in four rhyming lines, but I didn't want to give too much away either! It's hard! Anyway, totally glad that these are over. What do you guys think? I won't be doing these raps anymore, but feedback is always good!
